It is with a heavy heart, but also much excitement, that we announce we will be moving the festival from Edinburgh to Glasgow.
Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to find a suitable home in Edinburgh - we’ve been searching for a number of years to find a place big enough and with the right combination of indoor and outdoor space to deliver a great festival experience. After moving from The Biscuit Factory to the Corn Exchange, we were forced to look again, but to no avail.
We looked further afield, and obviously Glasgow was top of the list. The really exciting news is we’ve managed to secure the iconic SWG3 - we’re so excited as not only is it one of the best venues in the country, it also gives us a secure home to continue celebrating Scottish craft beer and bringing in the best of the best from south of the border, Europe and the US.
We’re excited to invite you to our next chapter. We massively appreciate the support you’ve given us over the years and we hope you’ll still be up celebrating with us this summer. We know it might add a little extra planning, but we hope you'll still be able to come and celebrate with us this summer at what will now be the Glasgow Craft Beer Festival.
What can you expect? Well stay tuned… apart from the usual fun, electric atmosphere, a brilliant new venue with its amazing spaces, we’ve got a stellar set of breweries to discover and enjoy, chefs from Glasgow’s amazing food scene and music artists to keep everything pumping - all this is to be announced over the coming weeks.
